The baby, who has been named as Azra Karaduman, was rescued along with her mother on Tuesday after hours of heavy digging.

The rescue came nearly 48 hours after the 7.2-magnitude earthquake toppled around 2,000 buildings in eastern Turkey. Azra’s grandmother was also pulled from the wreckage, reports said.

R.I.P. Steven Paul “Steve” Jobs (February 24, 1955 – October 5, 2011)

Steve Jobs, co-founder and former-CEO of Apple Inc., passed away today at the age of 56.

Jobs was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2004. His failing health forced him to resign his role as Apple’s CEO earlier this year, as he felt he could “no longer meet my duties and expectations.”

“Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being,” Apple said in a statement. “Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.”

Apple is asking anyone wishing to share their thoughts, memories, and condolences to email rememberingsteve@apple.com.

October 14th was recently designated Steve Jobs Day by Apple fans.

Cat born with two faces

“The cat has two faces, but only one head and brain, so the faces react in unison and not as separate entities. Also, two faces doesn’t mean two cans of cat food every morning. The cat’s right side — or Frank’s side — is connected to an esophagus while Louie’s isn’t, so Frank eats for two.”
